I’m Studying Ayurveda

I am currently pursuing certification as an Ayurveda Consultant. Studying Ayurveda alongside Polyvagal Theory has been a life-changing experience, and I feel deeply called to share what I am learning. The ancient wisdom of Ayurveda has supported my own healing on every level while helping me reconnect with the rhythms of nature. For me, ancient wisdom for modern times is the path forward.

I am developing offerings to share this work and will continue updating my website as they evolve.

Beginning in Fall 2025, my focus within the design world is shifting toward helping clients elevate and refine their vacation rental spaces. I remain incredibly proud of my work in high fashion, film, and commercial production. At the same time, the realities of the industry have changed. In my niche, set design has become increasingly unsustainable—marked by reduced budgets, compressed timelines, and expectations that often come at the expense of well-being.

I’ve witnessed firsthand how this impacts not only myself, but many talented colleagues. There is a culture of overextension, where saying “yes” is often expected, and the true cost of creating thoughtful, high-quality environments is overlooked. It can lead to burnout. Moving forward, I feel drawn to apply my skills in a way that is both creatively fulfilling and supportive of others.

Regarding 23 years in the Art Department —I am deeply grateful. It has been an extraordinary chapter, and I carry everything I’ve learned with me.

With love,
Morgan

I bring over 20 years of experience sourcing, styling, and designing environments for production across commercial, film, television, and high fashion. I hold a Bachelor of Arts from Columbus College of Art and Design, with a background in commercial photography and fine art.

This site is a collection of my work as an Art Director, Set Decorator, and Art Coordinator in New York and Los Angeles. I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with renowned designers, legendary photographers, and exceptional stylists. I worked closely with my longtime mentor, set designer Piers Hanmer, assisting in the creation of sets for internationally recognized photographers including Craig McDean, Steven Klein, Patrick Demarchelier, Paolo Roversi, and Annie Leibovitz, among others.

Our work spanned major advertising campaigns and leading global brands such as Dior and Calvin Klein, as well as editorial projects for publications including Vogue (French, Italian, and American editions), W Magazine, and Interview.

I moved to New York in 2000 and began my career as a Second Assistant Director, working on a series of independent films. From there, I explored many roles across production—PA, boom operator, wardrobe supervisor, and more—while navigating the intensity of the industry. During that time, I also developed a strong personal commitment to yoga as a way to balance the demands of the work.

I am married to my high school sweetheart (after 17 years apart), and we share our home with three beloved cats.

Before New York, I lived in Chicago, living as an artist, opening a gallery (I proudly named it Imperfect Fluids) and working in cafés including Urbus Orbus, before relocating to Seattle. There, I lived on a farm, built my own furniture from salvaged wood, and worked in a photo lab processing film—including assisting with forensic image development. I worked on my first film in Seattle as well, the award winning Documentary, A Day in the Hype of America, Directed by Brian Quist.
